Christmas is deemed as the ultimate time to give back, however, it is not the only occasion REV and its content providers felt fit to gift a local charity who has selflessly served with humility to the less fortunate.
During the holiday season, REV hosted a Supermarket Dash, which allowed for various media houses representatives to sprint through the aisles of Solomon’s Yamacraw location, collecting groceries, cleaning supplies and other necessities for their chosen charities. Team Radio consisting of The Natural Empress and Sawyer Boy, dashed for The Nation’s Singing Bishop Feeding Foundation LTD. and Team Newspaper consisting of Jasper Ward and Kyle Walkine raced for The Nazareth Center. Team Newspaper won $543.00 for the children’s home, with Team Radio coming out on top winning $603.00 for the Singing Bishop which was matched by REV to award a total amount of $1,103.00.
REV’s Mega Grocery Dash 2.0 caught the attention of their international partners such as Lorac Communications and Intent HQ who both reached out to offer a donation of $2,000.00 to The Singing Bishop’s initiative.
Alex Fano, VP Sales Caribbean & LATAM at Intent HQ, said “For Christmas, we wanted to show our appreciation to our partner Cable Bahamas, for another great year of working together. We thought a charitable donation would be the best way to show our gratitude, which fit perfectly with their Christmas campaign of giving back to the community. Therefore, we were delighted to donate $2,000 to their chosen charity, the Singing Bishop, who has been helping to feed the local community for over 30 years.”
The Nation Singing Bishop Feeding Foundation Ltd was founded by Bishop Lawrence Rolle. He has been feeding his community and surrounding communities for over 30+ years. In the viral video shot at REV’s grocery Dash, Bishop Rolle is heard singing the catchy tune “Money Coming…I Say Money Coming!” Bishop Rolle said, “No matter who comes for help, I ensure I am able to assist the best way I can.”
Rolle, a National Treasure is, best known for his inspirational songs and viral social media jingles in addition to feeding the community and support with providing clothing and rental assistance.
Bishop Rolle constantly seeks support from both corporate and local partners, to ensure he is able to continue feeding and assisting the community at large. Persons interested in donating to the Nation Singing Feeding Foundation, please contact 468-2441,636-0507 or email at [email protected]
